Ramadan is coming

Yup it is true Ramadan is coming and this will be the time whereby all Muslims will fast during this period of the month. Facts about Ramadan, well firstly it is the ninth month in the Islamic calender and believers are suppose to cultivate piety to those who are less fortunate than us. Also this is the month whereby the Islamic prophet Muhammad received the first Koran's revelations.

This was taken from the History.com and also this was taken from the Koran verse. I want to share it with you people so that we understand more about the Islamic culture.

"Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful." - Al-Baqara 2:185

During the fast Muslims are forbidden to eat, drink, or smoke. Before retirement each night, special congregational prayers are offered in which long passages of the Koran are recited. The night between the 26th and 27th days of Ramadan, on which the first revelation occurred, is called the Night of Determination, during which, according to the Koran, God determines the course of the world for the following year.
